Robyn,
I have found AO to be easier. However, I have only perused it and never utilized it my self. I am an avid supporter of Saxon and A Beka. Christian Liberty Press has the best prices on A Beka materials and they do sell Saxon. I know HSLDA has a great used book site. Homeschool Building (http://www.homeschoolbuilding.org/) out of Grand Rapids offers used materials as well through classifid ads on their site. Of course, there is always Ebay. You can homeschool economically. You just have to be creative. Don't forget to take advantage of your library. They can even access materials through inter-library loans.

Hey, I am homeschooling a 9th grader this year also, and finances are extremely short. I was considering gettting Alpha Omega, since I can get the whole year for less money. I have been using A Beka and Saxon in the past. Do you have an opinion on whether AO is "easier"? I have heard that, but I have never used it so I don't know. Thanks for any input.
